At this evening with Teatro Vivo founders JoAnn and Rupert Reyes, we will be treated to recordings of scenes from some of Rupert’s work as a playwright in archived performances by Teatro Vivo, the bilingual theater company that he and JoAnn founded in 2000. And even though we can’t be together as an audience, we hope the humor of plays such as Petra’s Pecado, Petra’s Cuento, Petra’s Sueño, Crossing the Río, Cuento Navideño, Cenicienta, and the forthcoming film Vecinos will bring us all a little closer together.
Our host for the evening will be Roxanne Schroeder-Arce, associate professor at the UT Austin Department of Theatre and Dance.
The JoAnn and Rupert Reyes Collection is part of the Benson’s archive.
