Call for Stage Managers!
2022 Austin Latinx New Play Festival!

Teatro Vivo is proud to announce a call for Stage Managers for the 2022 Austin Latinx New
Play Festival in collaboration with ScriptWorks.

The 2022 Austin Latinx New Play Festival (2022 ALNPF), presented in collaboration
with ScriptWorks, will be held live at the Emma S. Barrientos Mexican American
Cultural Center (MACC) in Austin, TX April 7th – 9th 2022.

All Stage Mangers that are local to the Austin area, or are willing to travel, are
invited to submit your interest for this year’s festival by 02/11/22. At this time, travel
expenses will not be offered.

exciting festival. Below are some important dates that will require mandatory attendance:

Monday, February 28th : Auditions
Monday March 7th : Initial Reading of selected plays
Monday March 7th -Mar 27th : Work Period (can work remotely)
Monday March 28th -April 4th : Festival Kickoff and Rehearsals
Monday April 4th -April 6th : Tech Rehearsals
Friday April 7th -April 9th : Readings

All Stage Managers will be required to attend their own readings, as well as the other readings in
the festival. At the end of the festival, each Stage Manager will receive a stipend of $150, payable
by check.

Each Stage Manager will be paired with a Director and Dramaturg, provided by the festival. The
Work Period is an opportunity for the Stage Managers to collaborate with their assigned
Directors, to ensure they are ready for the rehearsals and official Readings.
